What's your favourite glass of wine?
I am running a class this Friday evening on the Sauvignon Blanc grape and introducing the concept of Terroir. (Notes to follow soon)
It got me wondering what the general consensus would be if asked what your favourite wine/grape was.
So, if you'd like to reply to this post, either on Make Mine a Wine, or Facebook, please go ahead and describe in as many or few words as you like, which your favourite glass of plonk is!

I'll admit to be a big fan of Australian Riesling, particularly from the Clare Valley region. It's something about the lime and fresh, mineral acidity that does it for me every time.
I have always had a soft spot for fine white Burgundy, although it's hard to afford now. I also love Riesling, especially those from Alsace, on the drier side. Antipodean Rieslings certainly pack a punch, very moreish. I recently made the acquaintance of a 2004 Savennieres (chenin blanc) which blew my socks off: an utterly memorable experience, the complexity was staggering. Overall, probably Riesling.
